Jonathan is a strategic operations and training leader with a breadth of experience in building high-performance teams, training, military aviation, and operations.

With over 17 years spent in the Royal Australian Navy, he has a wealth of knowledge in Maritime Warfare, from theatre-level planning to operational training and development. Having deployed operationally to a range of areas he brings a deep understanding of current climate challenges.

Jonathan has over six years of experience as an aviation instructor, providing training to junior aviators through to pre-deployment training for Navy Flights. This brings a unique appreciation of training design and delivery in a complex environment. Responsible for instructor standardisation, he not only delivers confident classroom training but also offers extensive remediation training and "train-the-trainer" experience.

Jonathan conducted the training needs analysis for the Aviation Warfare Officer ab initio and Instructor course, contemporising it to align with the career training continuum and introduction of new platforms.

As a Certified Project Director, having led cross-functional teams and systems in complex environments, he possesses an adaptable leadership skillset that is an asset to any operations or project team. He enjoys the challenge of integrating multiple high-performance teams, negotiating resources, and improving processes. He is a change champion and seeks to understand why processes are in place so they can be further developed.

Jonathan is currently providing support to the Australian Defence Logistics College as a Training Manager. This program involves delivering logistics systems training across Defence.
