About the Position

The successful applicant will work within the PMO and report directly to the Commercial Stream Lead This role will operate as both a strategic advisor to the Commercial Stream Lead and provide complex commercial services in support of various in-scope projects and the program, ensuring effective and efficient commercial service provision

Experience/Skills sought:

• Expert advice to the PMO Director and Commercial Stream Lead including on market approaches and strategy.

• Expert advice to Commercial Stream Lead on prioritisation of effort across scope of Commercial activity

• Preparation of complex project Commercial Strategies

• Development of Approach to Market documentation including RFI, ITR, RFT

• Expert advice in ITARS and FMS

• Provision of Commercial inputs for key Project and Capability Lifecycle documents including the Integrated Project Management Plan.

• Supporting development of Commercial staff through coaching and mentoring

• Senior Stakeholder management supporting commercial outcomes

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated experience with Defence Procurement and Contracting in major capital acquisition projects

• Demonstrated experience with leading Commercial teams

• Demonstrated experience of working in environments with Commonwealth information security requirement

• Capable of working remotely for extended periods (have a suitable home office arrangement that meets WHS requirements)

• Experience managing export controls and/or Foreign Military Sales and associated information controls

Desirable Criteria

• Familiarity with Defence Contracting approaches ASDEFCON

• Familiarity with Defence panels of standing offer
